Job Description:
Job Role: Mechanic
Job Location: Wyre Forest District Council
Salary: £20 Per Hour
Working period: Monday - Friday 09:00 - 17:30
Working Hours: 37 hours per week
Assignment period: 3-6 Months Ongoing
Key Responsibilities:
*Perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a wide range of vehicles and equipment.
*Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
*Identify and resolve mechanical issues in a timely manner.
*Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including repairs, parts used, and service history.
*Collaborate with other team members to ensure the smooth operation of our fleet.
*Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in vehicle technology.
Qualifications:
*Proven experience as a mechanic, preferably in a municipal or fleet environment.
*Relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent).
*Strong knowledge of vehicle systems and repair techniques.
*Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
*Valid driving license.
