Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant with a passion for working in secondary education? We’re seeking a skilled Teaching Assistant to support a diverse and inclusive secondary school in Waltham Forest, known for its commitment to creating an engaging and supportive environment for both students and staff. What You’ll Do:
*Provide personalised support for students, working both 1:1 and in small groups, helping them to overcome challenges and stay engaged in their learning
*Assist in the development and implementation of learning plans for students with SEN and additional needs
*Collaborate with classroom teachers to create a positive and effective learning environment, helping students achieve academic and personal goals
*Offer support for students facing social or behavioural challenges, fostering confidence, independence, and motivation
*Monitor and document student progress, contributing to review meetings and adjustments in support strategies
*Actively participate in school life, from assisting with extra-curricular activities to supporting school events and initiatives

*Effective communication skills to work closely with students, teachers, and parents
*A positive, encouraging approach, with a genuine passion for helping students succeed
Desirable Skills:
*Training in specific SEN strategies and experience with behaviour management techniques
*Familiarity with safeguarding procedures within a school environment
Position Details:
*Full-time, Monday to Friday
*£95 - £105 per day, term time only
*Located in Waltham Forest, London, with easy access to public transport
