Job Description:
Fantastic opportunity not to be missed with this outstanding Top 100 law firm with a major regional presence who are now looking to expand their Planning & Development team in Manchester. Ideally they are seeking a Solicitor with at least 8 Years’ PQE to join as a Managing Associate or Partner and take a significant role within the national Planning team but also a lead role in Manchester to help increase their presence. 

The existing team is split nationally but they are keen to bring establish a bigger presence and are open to grow the team from any of their offices. The national team currently consists of 3 Partners, 1 Consultant, 2 Associates, 2 Junior Solicitors, 1 Paralegal, 1 Chartered Town Planner & 2 Planning Technicians.

The work in place will consist of a broad spread covering most planning work that consists of; non-contentious legal agreements, planning enforcement, CPO, highways / public rights of way, planning strategy and CIL advice. The department act for a lot of housebuilder clients & social housing clients, local authorities, health trusts, individuals, large private and charitable estates, as well as retail operators. There is a considerable amount of CPO & Land Tribunal work that can be dealt with too.

Due to the seniority of this appointment the salary banding is wide and all levels will be considered for this position, with circa £80,000 being the lower end of the bracket.
