Job Description:
Opportunity to join one of East Lancashire’s biggest success stories as a Group Financial Accountant. This business has achieved consistent growth both organically and through strategic acquisitions and this is a newly created role supporting the Finance Director. Privately owned, they have a really inclusive "family feel" and have great levels of staff retention - many of their staff have been with the business for 10+ years.
Working closely with the Finance Director you will enjoy a diverse role including:
*Financial reporting, leading the statutory reporting for a number of group companies and taking ownership for the consolidation process
*Assisting with corporation tax/liaising with HMRC on any related queries
*Processing R & D claims and maintaining audit schedules
*Management accounting including balance sheet reconciliations, prepayments/accruals
To be considered for this role you will ideally be ACA/ACCA qualified ideally with experience gained in professional practice. This will really appeal to someone who loves the technical accounting aspects and a good level of autonomy to improve processes where possible. Solid IT skills are required and you should also have strong prioritisation and organisational skills.
