Job Description:
Do you have a background in communications? Do you possess exceptional writing skills with an eye for design and exceptional social media skills? If so, Signature Recruitment is looking for a Communications Officer to join a prestigious London university full-time for a six-month position. This role has an immediate start and offers a hybrid working arrangement of two days on-campus and three days remote work.
As a Communications Officer, you will play a pivotal role in managing and supporting a wide variety of internal and external communications related to the university’s academic think tank programme which provides impartial, research-based analysis of the critical issues facing the UK. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include assisting the Communications Manager with social media channels including X, YouTube, TikTok and LinkedIn as well as uploading content to the website. In addition, you will support in-person and online events.
Communications Officer Key Responsibilities:
*Working as part of a friendly small team - supporting the Communications Manager - developing a communications and engagement strategy
*Managing the social media channels including X, YouTube, TikTok and LinkedIn
*Uploading content to the WordPress based website including the publication of new blogs, articles, and press clippings
*Assisting with the planning and organising of in-person and online events
*Developing and producing an internal communications strategy to enhance awareness
*Supporting other communications related activities in order to assist the team and wider university
Communications Manager Key Skills:
*Proven experience in a communications role with demonstrable social media experience
*Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with editing and proofreading abilities
*Excellent planning and organising skills, and the ability to produce effective content working well as part of a team
*Highly proficient IT skills including an understanding of uploading content to a website. In addition, design skills would be desirable
