Job Title: Deputy Manager - 4-Bed Children’s EBD Service
Location: Burton-on-Trent, Staffordshire
Salary: £33,500 - £35,000 per annum
Hours: 40 hours per week (predominantly 3 office days and 1 long shift, with flexibility as required)
Our client is seeking a committed and experienced Deputy Manager to join their 4-bed children’s home, supporting children and young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). If you’re a passionate professional with a background in residential childcare, this role offers the opportunity to make a real difference.
Key Responsibilities:
*Support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care.
*Supervise and mentor the care team, promoting a positive and supportive work environment.
*Ensure the home is compliant with Ofsted regulations and maintain a safe, nurturing environment for children.
*Assist with care planning, risk assessments, and behaviour management strategies.
*Be flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of the home and ensure smooth operation.
Requirements:
*Level 3/4 qualification in Children and Young People (or equivalent).
*Full UK driving licence.
*Previous experience in a leadership role within a children’s residential setting, particularly EBD services.
*Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
*Ability to be flexible with working hours to meet the needs of the home.
