THE ROLE:
*Managing a portfolio of clients (individuals and partnerships) in relation to their personal tax returns, effectively managing all client relationship
*Regularly meeting with and speaking to clients to ensure the provision of a knowledgeable and professional level of service
*Dealing with P11D benefits forms
*Dealing with HMRC queries and letters
*Keeping up to date with changes in tax legislation
*Assisting in the development of less experienced colleagues, providing training/instruction where needed and reviewing junior team members’ tax returns
*Providing ad hoc advice on income tax and capital gains tax forms
*Dealing with ad hoc/simple ERS returns
*Dealing with ad hoc/basic Trust returns (e.g. nil Trust)
*Liaising with tax specialists as required.
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:
*An experienced personal tax professional currently working within a practice
*High level of personal tax knowledge
*Proven track record in developing and maintaining strong client relationships
*Able to convey specialist knowledge in an understandable manner
*Strong team player, willing and able to share knowledge and experience with more junior colleagues
*Confident and professional in approach
*Self-motivated and resourceful with strong organisation skills
*Able to manage own workload and meet deadlines in an autonomous role.
*Highly proficient in IT including CCH and MS Office
*ATT Qualified ideally or Qualified by Experience
