Year 5 SEN Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support)
Location: Newham
Payscale: £95-105 per day
Hours: 8:30-3:30
Contract: Long-term to Permanent
We are excited to welcome a compassionate and motivated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in Hackney, providing dedicated 1:1 support to a Year 5 student. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference by helping a young learner with special educational needs reach their full potential in a nurturing and structured setting.
Responsibilities:
*Offer focused 1:1 support to a Year 5 student, adapting learning materials to meet individual needs.
*Assist in creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters engagement and growth.
*Support the classroom teacher with lesson planning and tailored interventions to enhance learning.
*Implement specific strategies to support the student’s social, emotional, and academic development.
*Track and communicate student progress, providing valuable feedback to the teacher and SEN team.
Requirements:
*Experience supporting children with special educational needs, ideally in a 1:1 capacity.
*Understanding of SEN practices and the ability to implement effective learning strategies.
*Excellent communication skills and a patient, empathetic approach.
*Ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to a collaborative learning environment.
*Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
