Job Description:
JOB – Logistics Manager
LOCATION – West Byfleet, Surrey
TERM- Permanent
SALARY – £40,000 - £47,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
We are looking for a Logistics Manager on a permanent basis in the West Byfleet, Surrey area with experience in the Manufacturing, Engineering or warehousing industry. Your main duties will include implementing a new logistics system including liaising with 3rd party suppliers and managing the inhouse logistics processes across the business.
The Logistics Manager will ideally have the following attributes:
*Qualified in a relevant Logistics / Manufacturing Degree or qualified by experience.
*Proven experience within a logistics position for a similar industry.
*Good knowledge of various logistics planning and management responsibilities / tools.
*Capable of improving the efficiency of warehousing and logistics operation.
*Have the ability to communicate with other members of staff and management.
*Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
*Excellent organizational and planning skills.
*Ability to work independently as well as team
*Exposure to electronics production – very advantageous.
The Logistics Manager role will involve:
*Take ownership of the Logistics metrics and data.
*Plan the weekly operation of the logistics side of the business.
*Oversee warehousing and management of stock.
