Temporary Asset Manager
Immediately Required
£350/day - Barnstaple
A Devon based Housing Association is seeking an experienced Senior Surveyor to lead their dedicated surveying team on a temporary basis. As a key part of the Asset Management team, you’ll oversee essential maintenance, planned works, and compliance for our housing stock, ensuring high standards of service and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
*Manage a team of surveyors, clerks, and administrators, prioritizing responsive repairs, planned maintenance, and stock condition assessments.
*Conduct technical surveys, oversee complex repair projects (up to £20,000), and ensure compliance with health and safety and housing regulations.
*Provide expert support in building defect diagnosis, particularly with damp, mould, and condensation issues, and contribute to disrepair claim management.
*Uphold rigorous standards for data accuracy and quality assurance across all property records.
Ideal Candidate:
*Proven experience in a senior surveying role within social housing.
*Strong leadership skills, with a background in contract management and project oversight.
*In-depth knowledge of building safety standards, including CDM, asbestos, and HHSRS.
*RICS/CIOB qualification preferred.
