Role Overview:
As a Trainee Customs Process Administrator, you will be responsible for processing client data, managing shipping information, and applying customs and excise duties and procedures. This role involves working with a variety of systems in a fast paced environment, so a keen eye for detail and pride in your work are essential. Main Duties:
Accountabilities:
 Management: Assist in managing customs processes efficiently.
 Team Building: Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.

 Effective Communication: Ensure clear and effective communication within the team.
 Feedback: Provide feedback to the Team Leader and team on tasks.
Responsibilities:
 Learn basic customs import formalities and procedures using SCDP (Special Customs Declaration Procedures).
 Operate Duty Management computer systems.
 Assist with the day today management of duty management accounts, ensuring compliance with authorisation and SOPs.
 Process customs warehouse removals within compliant timeframes and maintain stock records.
 Perform general office administration tasks, such as filing and recordkeeping.
 Liaise with HMRC, clients, and suppliers regularly.
Quality:
 Review work prior to processing to ensure the highest quality.
 Manage your time, workload, and resources effectively.
 Ensure all work is accurate and detailed.
 Understand the impact of guidelines, company policies, and standards on your work.
What to Expect:
 Mainly office based work, with occasional visits to other CSG offices for training or work.
 A smart/casual dress code in the office.

Person Specification:
Essential Qualifications:
 Minimum 5 GCSEs grade C or above, including English and Mathematics.
 A good academic record.
Desirable Qualifications:
 Relevant industry qualifications.

 Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
 Detail oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
 Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
