Job Description:
Join a leading manufacturing company in the automotive industry as a Senior IT Technician. Based in Edinburgh, you’ll be providing critical IT support to internal colleagues across five UK sites, with occasional travel required. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced IT professional looking to make an impact in a fast-paced, industrial environment.
Senior IT Technician
Edinburgh/Hybrid
£35,000 - £40,000
Main Duties:
*Provide 2nd/3rd line IT support to internal teams, both onsite and remotely.
*Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues across the organisation.
*Work on IT infrastructure projects and system upgrades.
*Maintain and support business-critical systems.
*Coordinate with external vendors and service providers as necessary.
*Ensure seamless operation of IT services across all UK sites.
Tech Requirements:
*Strong experience with Windows Server environments.
*Proficient in Active Directory, Group Policy, and DNS/DHCP.
*Experience with virtualisation technologies such as Hyper-V or VMware.
*Strong networking skills (LAN/WAN, VPNs, firewalls, etc.).
*Experience with Microsoft Office 365 and Exchange Online.
*Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery solutions.
