An exciting opportunity has opened up for a 1st Line Service Desk Engineer to join a Managed Service Provider (MSP) in Edinburgh. This role is perfect for individuals looking to build a solid foundation in IT support while gaining experience in a fast-paced MSP environment.
1st Line IT Service Desk Engineer
Edinburgh (Fully Onsite)
£25,000 - £28,000
Main Duties:
*Provide 1st line technical support via phone, email, and ticketing systems.
*Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, escalating more complex issues when necessary.
*Monitor and manage client systems, ensuring smooth day-to-day IT operations.
*Assist with setting up new equipment for users, including laptops, desktops, and printers.
*Maintain accurate records of client interactions and problem resolutions.
Tech Requirements:
*Experience with Windows desktop operating systems.
*Familiarity with Office 365.
*Basic understanding of networking concepts (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP).
*Experience using ticketing systems.
*Knowledge of Active Directory (user management, password resets).
