Job Description:
I am recruiting a Financial Planning Administrator to join the team at David Smith Financial Services, a Chartered Financial Planning firm based in Loughton, Essex (IG10).
The Role: Working in a collaborative, fast paced and client focused team, the role of Financial Planning Administrator involves providing administrative support to the Partners, Financial Planners and Paraplanners, working with them to deliver an exceptional financial planning service to their clients.
The Person: We are keen to consider either a highly competent administrator who enjoys working in a varied and involved support role and/or someone who would like to progress within the financial planning industry and work towards becoming Diploma qualified (training and support with exams will be provided).
Either way, the successful Financial Planning Assistant will be proactive, organised and detail orientated, with excellent administrative and customer service skills. They are likely to have experience of working in a professional services environment (ideally financial services or a highly regulated environment), but they will not be expected to know the intricacies of financial planning as training and support will be provided.
Salary and Benefits: £30,000-£40,000 basic salary (dependant on experience) + benefits including 34 days holiday (including bank holidays and 3 days holiday between Christmas and New Year) + early finish on Fridays + 8.5% employers’ contribution pension + life insurance + private medical insurance + income protection benefit + ongoing professional training and development. This is an office-based role, but we are happy to consider part-time or flexible working hours for the right candidate.

Financial Planning Administrator, Responsibilities:
*Provide the administrative assistance involved in the delivery of financial planning services to clients, ensuring the service is delivered on time and to a consistently high standard.
*Liaise with Financial Planners, Paraplanners, providers and clients via email, phone or face to face to ensure a smooth and compliant client process.
*Develop relationships with clients, arranging and preparing for initial and review meetings.
*Process new and existing business.
*Effectively onboard all new clients
*Assist Paraplanners with the creation of suitability letters and reports.
*Liaise with product providers and other third parties as necessary, obtaining policy information and updating records.
*Record and maintain accurate data using the company’s back-office computer system, whilst adhering to their compliance policy
*General administration as required to support the business.
*Ensure all business is conducted in a responsible and compliant manner.
Financial Planning Administrator, Skills and Experience:
*Previous involved administrative experience gained in a professional services environment (financial services or similarly regulated) - Financial Planning experience would be preferable but is not essential.
*Excellent administrative and organisational skills with a keen eye for detail.
*A proactive, collaborative team player with a caring and customer centric approach, who takes pride in providing a service of the highest standard.
*Strong written and verbal communication skills.
*An aptitude for technology and competent with MS Office programmes.
*Keen to learn and embracing of change.
