Job Description:
Accounts Administrator *Annual Salary: £25,000 - £30,000
*Location: Ipswich, Suffolk
*Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Administrator to join a well-established family business. This role is ideal for a candidate with a strong understanding of core accounting principles and the ability to manage a small office environment. The successful candidate will be part of a forward-thinking business that takes pride in delivering high-quality construction projects.
Day-to-day of the role: *Handling purchase and sales ledger activities.
*Managing company credit card payments and resolving any outstanding credit queries.
*Conducting credit control and completing VAT returns.
*Filing all necessary paperwork and ensuring compliance, particularly with CIS requirements.
*Preparing weekly and monthly payroll, including expenses.
*Generating monthly company and project reports.
*Assisting in weekly cash flow management and tracking project income.
*Office management duties, including meeting and greeting visitors.
*Adding job cards to the system and supporting the construction manager.
Required Skills & Qualifications: *A minimum of 3 to 5 years of Accounts Administration/ Bookkeeper experience.
*Proficiency in using SAGE for accounting purposes.
*Experience with payroll processing.
*MAAT qualification or equivalent.
*Confident communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
*An analytical and systematic approach to work.
*Ability to manage office operations effectively.

*Working hours: 8:30 am - 5:00 pm with 1 hour for lunch (flexibility for 30-minute lunch with 9:00 am - 5:00 pm working hours).
