Job Description:
Newly created ER Specialist to join a fast growing business based in South London
Client Details
Our client is a large global and well known business seeking an ER Specialist to join their team on a permanent basis. The role is a hybrid role 2 days home and 3 days out on patch. The role requires travel to the different sites across South London.
Description
*Develop the capacity of line managers to manage a range of Employee Relations (ER) problems locally, developing management styles to foster positive working relationships with employees, minimising the occurrence of line management problems and issues and fostering a positive climate for ER activity.
*Coach and develop managers to be competent and consistent.
*Proactively manage and support the company in relation to all elements of TUPE and Mergers and Acquisitions. Ensuring all relevant processes are followed and compliance is met.
*Foster and support a partnership relationship with the unions at the local level, by supporting managers with local pay negotiations and to identify with unions and contract managers joint initiatives and proactively participate in regular meetings.
*Support managers, to respond to any trade disputes and set contingency plans to minimise the impact on the service and bring the dispute to a swift conclusion.
*Have oversight of absence management and to work with managers to reduce absence levels in the designated contract areas.
*Proactively monitor ER trends using the relevant KPI’s and appropriate management tools (power bi, ERCL) to proactively plan, advise and prevent appropriate action for future.
*Work flexibly across the Business Unit as required supporting colleagues on projects and work activity.
*Support project work as and when directed on wider ER/ HR projects and ER strategy.
Profile
*Experience in an HR Generalist or ER role within a unionised and regulated environment is essential
*Dealing with complex ER matters
*Ability to work well under pressure
Job Offer
*£50,000 - £55,000 + 6,600 car allowance + 20-30% bonus
*Competitive pension contribution of 10% employer and 5% employee
