Job Description:

Day-to-day of the role: *Manage daily cash book and perform bank reconciliations.
*Prepare weekly and monthly cost and revenue analysis reports.
*Engage in project accounting and understand concepts of revenue recognition.
*Utilise Business Intelligence Systems for report generation.
*Prepare monthly management accounts including P&L and Balance Sheet.
*Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
*Report on cash flow on a weekly and monthly basis.
*Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, including credit control.
*Use advanced Excel skills to deliver bespoke reporting.
*Demonstrate proactivity in identifying new technological solutions and recommending process improvements.
Specific Responsibilities: *Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for key accounting processes and system walkthroughs.
*Handle the receipt and recording of invoices, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
*Manage payment runs, matching, and filing invoices and receipts.
*Reconcile business accounts to ensure payments reflect received goods and services.
*Address queries from suppliers, contractors, and internal departments regarding accounts payable or payments.
ERP and Systems Implementation: *Coordinate with various departments to gather business needs and determine key user requirements for an upcoming ERP implementation.
*Review and test innovative technology platforms, presenting recommendations to the management board.
Required Skills & Qualifications: *Proven experience in accounting, particularly in a systems accountant or similar role.
*Strong understanding of project accounting and revenue recognition.
*Proficient in using advanced Excel and Business Intelligence reporting tools.
*Experience with ERP systems implementation and management.
*Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
*Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
