Job Description:
My client is a chartered wealth management practice in Manchester City centre. They are currently looking for an experienced paraplanner to join their team.
*Provide paraplanning support to Financial Planners and Directors
*Prepare reports and recommendations in line with client needs, Financial Planner findings and research undertaken
*Provide full pre-sale paraplanning support for Financial Planners, ensuring that suitability reports and research are accurate, concise and timely. It is expected that this will be reflected in suitability checks that are graded compliant
*Maintain a good understanding and overall technical knowledge
*Provide technical research for fund and product recommendations
*Liaise with Financial Planners and Client Liaison Managers, as required
*Ensure that accurate client records are updated and maintained effectively
*Support Financial Planners with ad hoc queries and tasks
Qualifications and Education Requirements
DipPFS (Level 4) is essential for this role. There is a further expectation that successful applicants will work towards achieving Chartered (Level 6) status.
Preferred Skills
Excellent technical knowledge of pensions, investments and protection
Comprehensive knowledge of the financial services market
Proven ability to work well both as an individual and within a team
Experience of producing high-quality, articulate and technical suitability reports and supporting research
Level 4 qualified, prepared to work to level 6
Willingness and ability to challenge Financial Planners, where appropriate
