Job Description:
Adecco Recruitment are currently recruiting for on behalf of our client, a Legal Cashier to work for a prestigious Solicitors office based in the heart of Lancaster City Centre, which is accessible by train or bus.
Our client has a new and exciting opportunity to join their Accounts Department, and we have an immediate interview opportunity for this role. They are experts in the fields of Conveyancing, Family Law, PI and Wills & Probate.
The successful candidate will be working within a close knit team of long term servers in a beautiful office environment within a friendly team.
Full time/Permanent
Salary £30K OR negotiable based on experience
23 days holiday plus bank holidays
Flexible working hours (full time/4 days a week or school hours)
Main Objectives of the Appointment
To provide a comprehensive, smooth and efficient level of service in the Accounts Department in accordance with the Solicitors Accounts Rules ("SAR")To be fully supportive of the Practice’s objectives including the Core Values and Business Plan.
Summary of Principal Responsibilities
General accounts duties to include: - day-to-day payments, receipts, electronic payments, petty cash, bills, client enquiries, interest calculations, banking, cheque printing for the Firm.
Preparing financial reports as required and distribution as necessary.
Preparation for half-yearly visit by the Practice’s Accountants, retrieval of any information required, investigation and correction of errors.
Use of electronic banking.
Checking completion/financial statements.
Ensuring compliance with legal and financial regulations.
Responsibility for all Client Accounts being reconciled in accordance with the SAR, investigating and rectifying and discrepancies.
To assist in Credit Control as required.
To undertake any other reasonable administrative task that may be given from time to time.
