Job Description:
Exciting Opportunity for a Learning Mentor in Exeter! A leading Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Exeter, is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Learning Mentor to join their team. This role is pivotal in supporting students with diverse learning needs, helping them to achieve their full potential in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
*Provide one-on-one and group support to students with SEN, helping them to overcome barriers to learning.
*Develop and implement tailored learning plans in collaboration with teachers and other support staff.
*Monitor and record student progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and parents.
*Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting the social and emotional well-being of students.
*Assist with classroom management and support the delivery of engaging and effective lessons.
*Liaise with external agencies and professionals to ensure comprehensive support for students.
*Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
Requirements:
*Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN is highly desirable.
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
*Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
*Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students with SEN.
*Must drive and have own transport to transport to different locations.
*Relevant qualifications in education, child development, or a related field are advantageous.
