Job Title: Picker and Packer
Location: Bedford, UK
Employment Type: Full-Time on temp basis
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
About the Role
We are seeking diligent and reliable Picker and Packers to join our team in Bedford. This role involves accurately picking and packing products to fulfil customer orders, ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency. The successful candidate will contribute to the smooth operation of the warehouse and play a crucial role in maintaining our reputation for timely deliveries.
Key Responsibilities
Order Picking: Accurately pick items from the shelves based on order lists, ensuring the correct items and quantities are selected.
Packing: Carefully pack items in preparation for shipping, ensuring goods are protected and labelled correctly.
Stock Management: Assist in maintaining stock levels by reporting low stock, relocating items, and keeping storage areas organised.
Quality Control: Conduct checks to ensure the accuracy and quality of items before packing and dispatch.
Health & Safety Compliance: Follow health and safety guidelines, including manual handling procedures, to maintain a safe working environment.
General Housekeeping: Keep the packing and picking areas clean and tidy, disposing of waste responsibly and ensuring that the workspace remains organised.
Requirements
Attention to Detail: Ability to follow detailed instructions and ensure that orders are picked and packed accurately.
Physical Fitness: Comfortable with standing for extended periods and lifting items up to 20kg.
Time Management: Ability to manage workload effectively to meet deadlines.
Team Player: Willing to support other team members and work collaboratively to meet targets.
Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided.
