Our client, a forward thinking, independent firm of Chartered Accountants are seeking a Bookkeeper/Senior Bookkeeper to join their team in Chichester, West Sussex.
The role will involve dealing with bookkeeping, Management Accounts and VAT for a variety of companies and will include:-
*Daily bookkeeping
*Liaising with a variety of clients and building lasting relationships
*Advising and training clients on XERO
*Assisting with the production of monthly accounts and reports
*Reconciliation balance sheet and profit and loss accounts
*Preparation and posting journals for payroll, prepayments, accruals, fixed assets, VAT etc.
*VAT returns
*Bank reconciliations
*Other ad-hoc duties
You will ideally have at least two years bookkeeping experience, preferably in practice, although they will also consider someone with a commercial background.
A good working knowledge of Xero would also be an advantage and to a lesser extent Sage.
