Job Description:
Our business partner is a leading logistics and supply chain solutions provider, specialising in global freight forwarding services from their hub in Weston Super-mare. As they continue to expand operations, they are looking for an experienced Freight Operations Manager to join the team.
Key Responsibilities:
*Freight Coordination: Manage the logistics of shipments, including booking transport, arranging pick-ups, and liaising with carriers, suppliers, and customs authorities.
*Documentation & Compliance: Prepare and verify all necessary documentation for international shipments, ensuring compliance with customs and regulatory requirements.
*Customer Service: Communicate with customers regarding shipment status, track deliveries, and resolve any issues or delays in a timely manner.
*Cost Management: Ensure that shipments are processed cost-effectively and monitor shipping expenses to optimize profitability.
*Problem Resolution: Address and resolve any shipping or customs issues, working with both internal teams and external partners.
*Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (sales, operations, and finance) to ensure smooth processes and enhance customer satisfaction
