As an integral part of the accounts department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day financial operations. Key Responsibilities:
*Manage our client’s accounts department mailbox and promptly respond to email correspondence related to accounts demands.
*Input purchase invoices and credit notes into the purchase ledger.
*Act as the first point of contact on the accounts phone lines, resolving customer queries and providing exceptional service.
*Monitor and chase credit notes, resolving any queries that may arise.
*Process customer refunds and respond to sales and purchase ledger queries.
*Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including sending out customer statements.
*Play an active role in fraud control and monitor customers on hold.
*Reconcile bank statements for multiple accounts and reconcile supplier statements.
*Update sage records and perform general administration duties.
*Collaborate with the customer services and sales teams to resolve any customer issues.
*Communicate effectively with the team to prioritise workload and ensure efficient operations.
Requirements:
*Hands-on experience in accounts payable and receivable, or relevant qualifications.
*Experience in an inventory-based business is an advantage.
*Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
*Outstanding interpersonal skills and strong written and verbal English communication skills.
*Competent in Microsoft Outlook and intermediate use of Excel for data analysis and report creation.
*A self-motivated individual with a positive attitude and a willingness to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
*A team player who can work well with customers and colleagues at all levels.
*Experience with Sage is highly advantageous.
