Job Overview: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Junior Finance Manager to join a vibrant media business based in London. This role is ideal for a finance professional looking to advance their career by gaining hands-on experience in financial management, analysis, and strategic support within a creative industry. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in supporting financial planning, reporting, and business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities: *Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
*Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts, providing variance analysis to inform business decisions.
*Revenue & Cost Tracking: Monitor revenue streams, expenses, and project profitability, providing insights for financial improvements.
*Accounts Payable & Receivable: Oversee AP and AR processes, ensuring accurate and timely payments and receipts.
*Cash Flow Management: Support the Finance Manager in monitoring cash flow, ensuring optimal liquidity for operations.
*Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all financial records are compliant with statutory regulations and internal policies.
*Support for Financial Audits: Assist in the preparation of documents and schedules for annual audits.
*Ad-Hoc Analysis: Provide financial analysis on ad-hoc projects to support strategic decision-making within the business.
Qualifications and Skills Required: *Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; progress toward a professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) is a plus.
*Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a finance role, preferably within the media or creative sector.
*Technical Skills: Strong MS Excel skills; experience with financial software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) is beneficial.
*Analytical Skills: High attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
*Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to present financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
*Team Player: Adaptable and able to work effectively within a team, supporting cross-departmental goals.
