Job Description:
Our client is a dynamic and innovative firm in the cryptocurrency sector, dedicated to upholding the highest standards of compliance and regulatory adherence. As they prepare to apply for a license from the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), they are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Manager with extensive experience in the crypto industry and a strong background in FCA interactions.
Key Responsibilities:
*Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies and procedures that align with FCA regulations and industry best practices.
*Monitor ongoing compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, focusing on AML/KYC requirements.
*Serve as the primary contact for all FCA-related matters, including license applications, audits, and communications.
*Conduct regular compliance audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential issues.
*Provide training and support to staff on compliance-related topics, fostering a culture of compliance within the organization.
*Stay informed about changes in regulatory requirements and industry trends to ensure proactive compliance measures.
Qualifications:
*Proven experience as a Compliance Manager within the cryptocurrency sector.
*In-depth knowledge of FCA regulations with direct experience dealing with the FCA.
*Strong understanding of AML/KYC requirements and other relevant compliance frameworks.
*Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
*Ability to work independently while also being an effective team player.
*Relevant certifications (e.g., ICA, ACAMS) are advantageous.
