Customer Service Officer *£13.12 per hour PAYE
*Location: Oxford, OX1
*Job Type: Hybrid (Temp, Ongoing)
Join the Council’s Customer Services Applications Team in a vital role that supports the community by processing a high volume of customer applications for various council services. This entry-level Customer Service Officer position offers full training, making it perfect for individuals eager to develop essential skills in a dynamic environment.
Day-to-day of the role: *Handle customer calls and process payments efficiently.
*Use procedure notes and complex information systems to process applications to a high standard.
*Respond to a high volume of customer emails.
*Depending on the service area, tasks may include reading and interpreting drawings, plans, and maps.
*Manage a caseload using Excel spreadsheets.
*Check customer documentation and input details into Council systems.
*Implement changes quickly to adapt to ever-changing legislation.
*Provide excellent customer service through phone, email, and face-to-face interactions.
Required Skills & Qualifications: *No previous experience in customer service required as full training will be provided.
*Ability to learn and retain information quickly.
*Excellent customer service skills.
*Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel and other information systems.
*Strong communication skills and ability to handle diverse tasks.
*Ability to adapt to legislative changes and work in a fast-paced environment.
