Job Description:
The Senior Examinations Officer - Exams fulfils a key role, taking responsibility both as an individual and as a team member for all aspects of exam administration in liaison with stakeholders who include teaching and administrative staff colleagues, senior management, awarding body contacts and inspectors, students and parents.
Managing day-to-day exam processes following the exam year calendar for areas assigned to this post, you’ll maintain detailed and current knowledge of and compliance with awarding body and JCQ requirements, interpreting and disseminating this information to others as appropriate. You’ll support and deputise for the HEA when required by assisting with recruitment, providing guidance and training to colleagues, dealing with inspections and attending college meetings and forums in their absence, and supporting and sharing work with the Senior Exams Officer - Assessment as required.
This role requires someone who is educated to Level 3 (A Levels or equivalent), has previous experience and knowledge of exams administration and experience of working well in a team. With experience of complying with proscribed procedures and regulations, you’ll be meticulous and methodical in your working style, able to work under pressure and to strict deadlines, and be an excellent communicator with strong customer service skills
The successful candidate will be eligible for any increase in salary as a consequence of the annual cost of living review that is due to be implemented imminently.
