About the role

We have a number of people we support throughout the Borough of Ealing and are looking for people who live in, around or who can commute to Ealing to work.

As a Support Worker, you will work directly with people in their homes and in the community. You will be expected to support people with a variety of needs, enabling them to live the lives they want.

Duties will include:

- Building great relationships with people we support and the people important to their lives
- Promoting choice and participation when supporting people with daily tasks
- Co-creating opportunities for people to try new things and offering information to support people to make their own choices
- Offering personalised support by working with people’s strength to build their confidence and overcome obstacles with the aim of achieving their goals
- Encouraging people to participate in activities that bring them joy and meaning

About you

We recognise that everyone, regardless of their personal history, has talents, abilities and unique personal qualities. Through a focus on individual strengths, abilities and capabilities, our person-centred way of thinking and working inspires people to be their best.

To be a Support Worker at Certitude, it is essential you:

- Have experience in supporting people with learning disabilities, complex needs, physical disabilities, epilepsy and with people who present challenging behaviour
- Can motivate others and build their confidence to try new things, meet new people and achieve what they want to achieve
- Are able to make and maintain great relationships and support others to develop their own relationships
- Can use a range of standard and non-standard technology, such as the internet, emails, databases, Microsoft Office applications, a smart phone / iPad
- Are able to provide personal care

You will be given training, development and coaching to help you feel confident in providing great support and to help you advance in your career.
