Job Description:
Associate Director - Accountancy Practice - West Cornwall - Circa: £60,000 base + profit share scheme + future equity options
Writing eye catching recruitment advertisements for accountancy practices isn’t easy. Whilst most firms would surely beg to differ, most vacancies are remarkably similar in nature so drawing attention to the special ones can be tricky without overstating the reality. We don’t run that risk where this opportunity is concerned…
Trial Balance Consulting have been exclusively retained by a longstanding client that we’ve observed grow from strength-to-strength by way of both market share and employee headcount. This time they’ve tasked us with sourcing an Associate Director to join the team in a position of pivotal responsibility - what will undoubtedly be the firm’s most significant appointment since they launched and a career changing opportunity for the right candidate.
The firm: Headed up by a young, entrepreneurial and energetic team, the firm has grown considerably since its inception. This is a modern, technology driven business that breaks the mould of a traditional practice by offering more than just accountancy and tax advisory/statutory services. They’ve found their niche and they’ve no shortage of new clients queuing at the door. A Cornish business operating on a national level, they’re making some of their larger competitors nervous.
The role: A position of significant responsibility, the successful candidate will work to develop a sizeable new and existing portfolio, offering high quality accountancy, tax and sector specific business advisory advice, whilst simultaneously connecting the firm’s other products and services to ensure a one-stop service to clients. Working closely alongside the firm’s likeminded directors, you’ll also manage a team of experienced, longstanding and ambitious colleagues.
The person: Undoubtedly professionally qualified (ACA/ACCA), with significant PQE and currently operating anywhere between Client Manager and Partner level. The successful candidate will be well versed in maintaining and developing a client portfolio circa £500K and must have a genuine passion and understanding of digital accounting tools. Those are the only non-negotiables. Everything else is open for discussion.
The rewards: A generous commencing salary, a great profit share scheme that will kick in from day one, and the potential to join the board of directors sooner rather than later. That’s not to mention a fantastic workplace culture, modern offices, great technology and a passionate team to collaborate with.
Interested? Great, it’s the perfect opportunity for an experienced individual that perhaps feels disillusioned by their future prospects. For an informal and completely off the record conversation, please contact Alex Callister quoting reference AC10228. If you’ve worked with us previously, sat on either side of the desk, rest assured that any discussion will be treated in the strictest of confidence.
