Location: Cornwall
Salary £65,000-70,000 per annum
Are you an experienced Commercial Manager with a strong background in overseeing high-value projects in the building services sector? Our client is looking for a results-driven professional to join their team and play a pivotal role in managing commercial aspects, enhancing client relationships, and ensuring smooth, on-time project delivery.
As Commercial Manager, you’ll work closely with the Operations Manager to drive project profitability, manage cash flow, and maintain compliance with quality and safety standards. Your role will include managing contract reviews, overseeing pre-construction planning, and ensuring all project milestones are met with efficiency and accuracy. You’ll also foster strong client relationships, providing clear communication and addressing any issues swiftly to enhance client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
*Lead the commercial management of projects, achieving financial and cash flow targets.
*Conduct regular contract review meetings, documenting key insights and actions.
*Collaborate with clients and contractors to finalize project schedules and deliverables.
*Oversee defect management, ensuring timely response to any valid complaints.
*Identify cost-saving opportunities in purchasing and manage project variations.
*Ensure project teams are well-staffed, motivated, and compliant with all health and safety requirements.
What You Bring:
*Extensive experience in commercial management within the building services or construction sector.
*Knowledge of CDM regulations, health and safety legislation, and SMSTS certification (preferred).
*Strong understanding of construction contracts and a knack for effective negotiation.
*Proven leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
*Proficiency in project management software and IT tools relevant to the role.
