Job Title: Year 5 Level 2 Teaching Assistant (Maternity Cover)

Contract Type: Temporary (January 2025 - End of Academic Year)
Salary: £13.43ph
Start Date: January 2025
I am looking to recruit for a vibrant and inclusive primary school located in Nelson. They are seeking a passionate and dedicated Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join their Year 5 team to cover a maternity leave from January 2025 until the end of the academic year.
Key Responsibilities:
*Support the classroom teacher in delivering high-quality education to Year 5 students.
*Assist with the preparation of learning materials and classroom resources.
*Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, helping them to achieve their learning goals.
*Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
*Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to the teacher.
*Supervise students during break times and on school trips.
*Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the best outcomes for all students.
Requirements:
*Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
*Experience working with primary school children, preferably in Year 5.
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
*Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
*A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
