Job Title: Pharmaceutical Formulation and Analytical Scientist
Location: Cambridgeshire
Salary: Competitive and dependant on experience
About the role
I am looking for a talented Formulation Chemist to work on the development of biopharmaceutical and pharmaceutical products in a cGMP environment. This is an exciting opportunity for a graduate in Pharmaceutical Science (or a related Scientific degree) with a year’s industrial placement, or for a more experienced candidate with at least two years of industry experience. Applicants must have a very keen interest in the development of Pharmaceutical products and a desire to follow this as a career path.
Responsibilities
*Carrying out quantitative measurement of compounds in various formulations to support product development, stability testing and batch certification.
*Carry out the manufacturing of Medicinal Products for clinical trials
*Plan and carry out work to complete projects successfully
*Document and report activities and results, whilst meeting standards of quality and compliance
Desired qualifications, skills, experience and qualities
*Degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Science or equivalent
*Expert understanding of GMP protocols and formulation development
*Ideally previous experience of working in a cGMP Laboratory
*Analytical chemistry knowledge with experience in HPLC and experience of testing pharmaceutical products preferred
*Good IT literacy skills
*Be self-motivated and demonstrate resilience
*Be organised with attention to detail
*Above all, be honest with the ability to provide great customer service
