Network Consultant (DV Cleared) - Major Technology Transition Programme

Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Consultant with active DV clearance to join our team for a major technology transition initiative. This is a contract role anticipated to last up to 2 years.

Key Responsibilities:
*Network Consulting: *Provide expert consulting services on network design, implementation, and optimization.
*Conduct network assessments and identify areas for improvement.
*Develop network strategies and roadmaps to align with business objectives.

*Technology Transition: *Assist in planning and executing network migrations and upgrades.
*Provide technical guidance and support to project teams.
*Identify and mitigate potential risks and challenges associated with the transition.

*Troubleshooting and Support: *Diagnose and resolve complex network issues.
*Monitor network performance and proactively identify potential problems.
*Provide technical support to end-users.

*Security and Compliance: *Advise on network security best practices and compliance requirements.
*Assist in implementing security measures to protect network infrastructure.
*Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats and vulnerabilities.

Required Qualifications:
*Active DV Clearance: Essential.
*Cisco expert
*CCNP or CCIE certifications essential
*Strong Technical Skills: *Deep understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, etc.)
*Experience with network devices (routers, switches, firewalls) from leading vendors (Cisco, Juniper, etc.)
*Knowledge of network management tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Cisco Prime)
*Familiarity with network automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Python)

*Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: *Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues and identify root causes.
*Strong analytical skills to evaluate network performance and identify optimization opportunities.

*Communication and Interpersonal Skills: *Effective communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
*Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

*Experience with network virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware NSX, Cisco ACI)
*Knowledge of cloud networking concepts (e.g., AWS, Azure)
