Network Architect (DV Cleared) - Major Technology Transition Programme

Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Architect with active DV clearance to join our team for a major technology transition initiative. This is a contract role anticipated to last up to 2 years.

Key Responsibilities:
*Network Architecture Design: *Develop high-level network architectures that align with the organization’s strategic goals.
*Design and document network standards, procedures, and guidelines.
*Collaborate with security teams to ensure network security best practices are integrated into the architecture.

*Technology Transition: *Lead and coordinate the migration of network infrastructure to new technologies and platforms.
*Identify and mitigate potential risks and challenges associated with the transition.
*Develop and execute detailed migration plans and schedules.
*Collaborate with network engineers to ensure smooth implementation.

*Capacity Planning: *Analyze network traffic patterns and identify future capacity needs.
*Develop and implement capacity planning strategies to ensure optimal network performance.

*Vendor Management: *Manage relationships with network equipment vendors.
*Evaluate and select network hardware and software solutions.

*Security and Compliance: *Implement and enforce security policies and procedures to protect network infrastructure.
*Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats and vulnerabilities.
*Ensure compliance with relevant security standards and regulations.

Required Qualifications:
*Active DV Clearance: Essential.
*Extensive Network Architecture Experience: Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing complex network architectures.
*CCNP or CCIE Certification: Mandatory.
*Strong Technical Skills: *Deep understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, etc.)
*Experience with network devices (routers, switches, firewalls) from leading vendors (Cisco, Juniper, etc.)
*Knowledge of network management tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Cisco Prime)
*Familiarity with network automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Python)

*Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: *Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues and identify root causes.
*Strong analytical skills to evaluate network performance and identify optimization opportunities.

*Communication and Interpersonal Skills: *Effective communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
*Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Desired Qualifications:
*Experience with network virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware NSX, Cisco ACI)
*Knowledge of cloud networking concepts (e.g., AWS, Azure)
*Experience with network function virtualization (NFV) and software-defined networking (SDN)
