Job Description:
Our client, a well-established organisation, is seeking an experienced Polymer Scientist to join their technical department. This role will involve responsibilities in:
*Developing and enhancing film, pigment, and container packaging materials.
*Assessing technical issues and troubleshooting, including IR and UV light testing.
Key Responsibilities:
*Overseeing production processes for developmental materials, ensuring completion and quality.
*Investigating issues, testing raw materials and finished products.
*Keeping the Technical Manager informed on project progress and any challenges.
Candidate Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have a BSc or equivalent in Organic Chemistry, along with strong knowledge and experience with plastic films, raw materials, pigments, and related compounds. Additional qualifications include:
*Ability to communicate information clearly and organize tasks effectively.
*Skill in assigning responsibilities, setting measurable objectives, and monitoring progress.
*Integrity, with a reputation for direct and truthful communication, trustworthiness, and willingness to admit mistakes.
*Ability to quickly understand technical challenges, learn new skills, and expand knowledge as needed.
Applicants should possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and the flexibility to work effectively under pressure.
