We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of Supplier Manager.
Role purpose:
The Supplier Manager is a contract role expected to provide Subject Matter Expertise across Third Party Management for our most Material and complex Third Parties. The role will support the uplift of engagements with strategic Third-Party technology service providers to align with the standards set out in Technology Governance Framework and work with key stakeholders to drive improved operational resiliency and service delivery in a commercially optimal manner.
Key Accountabilities:
Technology Third Party Management / Governance Lead will be expected to:
o Have SME capabilities across core Supplier Governance processes and artefacts, including:
o Executive review sessions (Quarterly Business Reviews, Exec Briefing notes etc)
o Contractual Agreements
o Supplier Account Management and Management Information
o Be able to develop supporting frameworks and processes to enable business colleagues in identifying, on-boarding and managing important suppliers
o Lead business colleagues to define, optimise and uplift contractual agreements, service levels and effective governance processes; providing practical guidance and coaching as required
o Manage inputs required from, and provide a point of co-ordination between key SMEs, including:
o IT Service Management
o Business and IT Service Owners & Third-Party Engagement Managers
o Procurement
o Legal
Experience / Knowledge:
• Strong experience in managing complex and strategic Third-Party relationships
• Knowledge and experience of best practices in Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) principles
• Demonstrable experience across:
o Development of joining strategies for mutual benefit of both organisations
o Working with suppliers to develop proactive risk management strategies
o Service and Performance Management and optimisation
o Contract Management, including obligation tracking, value realisation, continuous improvement
• Fluent in assessing contractual agreements and broader governance processes and assess for maturity and opportunities for optimisation
• Strong negotiation skills, particularly across contract / commercial disciplines.
• Able to negotiate and interact effectively at senior levels.
• Understanding of Technology Service Management principles (ITIL experience preferable but not mandatory).
• Excellent cross stakeholder management, communication, presentation and influencing skills.
• Understanding of third party risk domains and principles
• Experience of the end-to-end Procurement processes, including RFX, contracting and post deal management.
• Knowledge of, or ability to rapidly develop knowledge of, business and products,
• Leadership skills to drive the discipline forward in a constantly changing risk environment.
• Knowledge of regulatory environment in the financial services or similarly heavily regulated sector.
• Able to conceptualise the operational impact of business change.
• Ability to understand complex concepts.
• Self-starter, independent and willing to self-define and drive required outcomes to achieve objectives.
• Able to cope with pressure and tight deadlines.
