Job Description:
Looking for a varied and challenging Health & Safety Manager role?
We’re recruiting for a proactive Health & Safety Manager to join a small, successful Ely based business.
You’ll be managing the Health & Safety department, with duties including:
*Interpreting and adapting current legislation & ensuring compliance, including Office Risk Assessments; Accident Reporting and H&S Policies.
*Ensuring employees are up to date with mandatory training; Annual, CSCS, NVQ
*Managing grant Applications
*Keeping training matrix up to date
*Arranging DBS & other safeguarding checks for on-site staff
*Completing risk assessment method statements (RAMS) and COSHH assessments
*Ensuring the business’ accreditations including ISO 9001 / 14001 / 45001 are kept up to date
*Management of PPE budget
*Providing specific support & advice to the team
*Regular meetings with H&S Director
*Continual development of H&S within the business to ensure best practice
*Attending sites to include setting up site inspections, toolbox talks & carrying out audits
*Sub-Contractor vetting, accident Investigation and PPE
*Prepare and distribute Safety Memos
*Driving forward new initiatives & identifying areas for improvement
You must have the NEBOSH qualification and experience of working in a similar level of role, ideally within the construction industry.
You’ll be self-motivated, assertive and have excellent organisational and communication skills.
