SEN Teaching Assistant Required in Blackburn!

Reed Education/Lancashire Teaching Agency are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a child with ASD in a primary school in Blackburn.  
This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about making a difference in students’ lives and thrives in a supportive educational environment. The role is required for 5 days per week between 08:30 – 15:30 to start from January 2025 to cover a maternity leave.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Provide tailored support to students, ensuring their educational and social development.
*Assist with the planning and delivery of individual learning activities.
*Work closely with the classroom teacher to monitor the student’s progress.
*Implement strategies to support the student’s learning and engagement.
*Facilitate a safe and positive learning environment.
*Adapt to the student’s needs and provide feedback to teachers and parents.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Experience working in EYFS
*Experience working with children with SEN and SEMH
*TA2 qualification or equivalent.
*Experience in providing support within an educational setting.
*Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
*Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards student development.
*Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other staff members.
*A commitment to inclusive education and safeguarding practices.
