Job Description:
Payroll Clerk
We’re seeking a responsible Payroll Clerk to work within our dedicated in-house payroll team. The main purpose of this role is to support within the accounts department in the weekly payroll function, ensuring smooth payment of the large number of clients’ payroll function.
Key Responsibilities:
*Timekeeping and Data Collection: Accurately collect and verify employee timesheets and attendance records.
*Payroll Processing: Calculate wages, including overtime, bonuses, and deductions, and process payroll on a timely basis.
*Record Maintenance: Maintain and update payroll records, ensuring all employee information is current and accurate.
*Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including tax filings and reporting.
*Issue Resolution: Address and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries promptly.
*Reporting: Prepare payroll reports for management and assist with audits as needed.
Requirements:
*Proven experience as a Payroll Clerk or in a similar role.
*Proficiency in SAGE payroll software and Microsoft Excel.
*Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
*Good understanding of payroll regulations and compliance.
*Excellent communication skills and ability to handle confidential information.
