Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (Permanent)

Salary: £21,000 - £23,000 per annum

About the Role Are you enthusiastic about supporting students with special educational needs? We are seeking a compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our supportive school community in Westbury. In this full-time, permanent position, you will work directly with children who have Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and other learning needs, helping them to engage, grow, and succeed in a nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities *Student Support: Provide tailored one-on-one and small-group assistance, helping SEN students actively participate in the curriculum and build confidence.
*IEP Assistance: Collaborate with teachers to implement and adapt Individual Education Plans (IEPs), ensuring lessons meet each student’s unique needs.
*Positive Classroom Environment: Promote constructive behaviour and support students in developing their social skills within a positive, structured setting.
*Progress Monitoring: Track and report on student progress, sharing insights with teachers and parents to foster individual development.
About You *Experience: Prior experience in SEN is a plus, but we welcome applications from anyone committed to making a difference in children’s education.
*Skills: Strong communication, patience, and a compassionate approach are essential for this role.
*Qualifications: GCSE Maths and English proficiency is preferred, though not mandatory.
