Description
*Overseeing the implementation of safety protocols and standards within the workshop environment.
*Conducting regular inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
*Maintaining, testing, and repairing safety equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
*Providing training on safety procedures and the use of safety equipment.
*Collaborating with the Engineering & Manufacturing department to improve safety systems.
*Responding to safety incidents, conducting investigations, and implementing corrective actions.
*Maintaining records of safety inspections, incidents, and actions taken.
*Ensuring compliance with all relevant safety regulations and industry standards.
Profile
A successful Workshop Technician should have:
*Relevant educational qualifications in safety management or a related field.
*Background in a similar role within the industrial/manufacturing industry.
*Knowledge of safety regulations and industry standards.
*Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to risk management.
*Strong communication skills to effectively deliver safety training.
*The ability to work well as part of a team and collaborate with various departments.
