Stores & Logistics Technician
Stockport
£24,000 - £28,000 plus benefits
Monday to Friday only
**Candidates must have a clean UK Driving Licence as this role will cover 2 sites in Stockport**

Due to continued growth they are looking for Stores & Logistics Technician who thrives in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same. In this role, you’ll be at the heart of the manufacturing and logistics operations, providing essential support across departments and ensuring smooth workflows between the two Stockport site.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
Inventory & Stores Assistance: Receive and inspect incoming deliveries, ensuring items meet quality standards and specifications. Organise and store parts and materials to support production, maintaining a tidy and accessible stock area.
Internal Logistics & Transport: Operate a Luton Transit van to transport stock, parts, and materials between two Stockport sites. Coordinate with team members to ensure items are moved on time to meet production schedules and department needs.
Manufacturing Department Support: Provide general support within the manufacturing department, assisting with tasks as needed to meet production goals and timelines. Engage in assembly, testing, or preparation of products under the guidance of senior manufacturing staff, gaining hands-on experience with our clients cutting-edge equipment.
The Right Person
*Previous experience in manufacturing, logistics, or warehousing.
*Valid clean UK driving license (required), with experience driving light commercial vehicles like a Luton Transit van.
*Basic knowledge of inventory processes.
*Attention to detail in receiving, checking, and storing items.
*Friendly, confident, and able to communicate effectively with delivery drivers and team members.
*Self-reliant and dependable, capable of handling deliveries independently on-site.
*Team-oriented, ready to support colleagues.
*Reliable, proactive, and flexible in adapting to daily tasks.
*Able to shift priorities as needed throughout the workday.
*Physically fit and capable of manual tasks, including loading/unloading.
*Comfortable with general movement of materials on-site.
