Job Description:
ROLE – Mechanical Design Engineer
LOCATION – St Albans
TERM - Permanent
SALARY - £35,000 to £40,000 per annum depending on experience
I am working with a growing company in St Albans who are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join the team.
Ideally, we would like you to:
*Be skilled in using 2D and 3D CAD software - Solidworks
*5 Years experience in Product/Mechanical Design Engineering
*Be able to create models / prototypes
*Be technically minded
*Experience in Lighting design
*Have a product design/ engineering related degree
*Have experience designing products/ projects from concept to completion
*Strong Design for Manufacture skills
Responsibilities:
*Develop your ideas from concept to production.
*Sketch ideas and develop concepts.
*Create models/prototypes.
*Do market research, visit clients and listen to their feedback.
*Use all manufacturing processes.
*View and review tooling trials – potential for overseas travel.
*Quality test new products
