The Role
We are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join our team at a leading manufacturing company based at their Wigan site. You will be tasked with all maintenance, repairs and servicing of plant machinery, in a small team you will be working on reactive maintenance primarily in the electrical department while also carrying out planned tasks,
Duties & Responsibilities
*Maintaining plant, equipment, and utilities throughout the site.
*Utilising initiative to rectify problems.
*Routine PPM work.
*Reactive and planned tasks
*Utilising CMMS (SAP)
*Observing Health & Safety of themselves & colleagues is a must.
*Continuous improvement work.
*Responding to production breakdown issues and providing technical support
*Maintain plant processes such as keep up to date with technical advancements.
*Be the AP (Authorised Person) or for emergencies, including High Voltage for electrical technicians.
The Successful Engineer
*Ability to read electrical drawings & schematics
*NVQ Level 3 qualified/ apprentice trained
*Experience with PLCs such as Allen Bradley, Siemens
*Electrical experience within a manufacturing environment
*High voltage qualifications are desirable
