Job Description:
We are currently looking to recruit a part-time Campus Security Officer/Security Guard to work within a College based in Walthamstow, East London.
Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.45pm.
The role is float cover to cover absence of the permanent staff members on an adhoc basis.
The role pays £13.31 per hour.
Working within a team of five highly experienced, long serving Security Officers, duties will include:
General security duties including meeting and greeting students, staff, contractors and visitors to the College, intelligence gathering in order to prevent and diffuse situations before they occur, body and bag searching, crowd control, access control, site patrols, intervening in and diffusing incidents, car park monitoring, incident report writing and all other security duties as required.
Interested applicants should have a valid Door Supervisor Licence, be committed and dedicated to the role, be passionate about working with young people and enhancing their learning experience by ensuring they feel safe in the College, have common sense, previous security experience, be happy for Reed to carry out an Enhanced DBS check and have excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
