Our client are looking to expand their Health Physics team and there will be progression opportunities to Assistant Team Leader and Team Leader levels as they grow with defined career pathways. The client will also offer help towards relocation costs to make the move that much easier should that be required.

About the Role

As a Health Physics Monitor at the Sellafield site, you will play a critical role in ensuring radiation protection and maintaining safety compliance in one of the UK’s most essential and complex environments. You will be responsible for monitoring radiation levels, enforcing safety protocols, and safeguarding the health and well-being of all personnel and the surrounding community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine and specialised monitoring of radiation levels across various areas on-site.
• Perform contamination checks on individuals, equipment, and materials to maintain a safe working environment.
• Accurately record and interpret radiation data, reporting findings as necessary.
• Provide guidance and support to personnel on radiation safety practices and procedures.
• Assist with emergency response measures related to radiation incidents.
• Work collaboratively with teams to ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Must hold either a Level 1 City and Guilds or NVQ Level 2 in Radiation Protection.
• Experience working as a Health Physics Monitor in a nuclear facility is essential.
• A proactive and safety-conscious individual with excellent attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to obtain SC-level security clearance.
• A commitment to ongoing learning and professional development in a highly regulated environment.
