Job Description:
This strategic procurement consultant role is a vital position within our public sector department, requiring a proactive individual to lead and promote the services to multiple stakeholders in both the public and private sector

Description
As a procurement consultant you will be responsible for delivering Consultancy Services providing proactive and customer focused engagement. The primary goal is to deliver opportunities to grow revenues by engaging effectively with existing and new clients. The role will be central to driving project customer focused delivery, ensuring that solutions are compliant both with UK legislation and procurement regulations and the client’s own internal procurement policy and procedures.
*Leading and managing procurement and supply chain operations.
*Developing and implementing strategic procurement plans.
*Managing relationships with suppliers and key stakeholders.
*Ensuring compliance with public sector procurement regulations.
*Overseeing contract negotiations and vendor management.
*Implementing cost-saving initiatives in the procurement process.
*Training and developing procurement team members.
*Reporting on procurement activities to senior management.
Profile
A successful Strategic Procurement Consultant should have:
*Full member or studying towards being a member of the chartered institute of purchasing and supply (CIPS) having achieved level 4, or appropriate relevant experience.
*In depth understanding of UK public sector procurement legislation, and the current social, economic, legislative, and political environment in which they operate.
*Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with both key internal and external stakeholders.
*Goal orientated and results driven - willing to take ownership and responsibility for allocated procurement’s/projects.
*Exceptional negotiation and vendor management skills.
*Knowledge of public sector procurement regulations.
*Experience in developing and implementing procurement strategies.
*Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
*An understanding of consultancy work

*Salary circa £40,000- £47,000 ( included a car allowance) + excellent benefits
