ROLE – Graduate Mechanical Engineer

LOCATION – Watford

TERM - Permanent

SALARY- £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, dependent on experience

My client is a specialist manufacturer. They are looking to take on a Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Watford on a permanent basis.

The Graduate Mechanical Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
*Degree / HND / HNC qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar
*Eager to work in a hands-on and varied Engineering role
*Project Management skills
*Proficiency with 2D and 3D CAD software- SolidWorks, AutoCAD etc.
*Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials – sheet metal, plastics, injection moulding, machining etc
*Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
*Proficient using MS Office
*Excellent organisational skills and time management skills
*Have the ability to work well alone as well as part of a small multi-disciplinary team
*A background in Manufacture would be beneficial
*Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
*Team player
*Eager to train and develop their career in Engineering/Manufacture

The Graduate Mechanical Engineer role will involve:
*Varied technical work covering different areas of Engineering
*Working on Architectural, Structural and Construction projects
*Working across Mechanical, Electrical, Projects and Estimating departments
*Working with test equipment and precision components
*Producing technical drawings
*Seeing through projects from concept through to completion
*Working in a small multi-disciplinary team on varied projects
*Opportunities to train in different areas of Engineering and progress up in the company
*Working to procedures and instructions
*Working in a small multi-disciplinary team on varied projects
