Job Description:
Religious studies teacher - Manchester - January start
Prospero teaching are seeking to appoint a passionate Religious Studies Teacher to join a team at a large secondary school in Manchester from January until July. The role will be on a full time fixed term basis. At the end of the current academic year you will be invited to apply for a permanent role at the school.
The successful candidate will have a passion for teaching Religious Studies and will be able to motivate, elevate and challenge students to produce the highest quality work and achieve high academic standards. You will be expected to become a trusted member of the school by students, and ensure you are a committed member of the department by attending departmental meetings and parents evenings when they arise.
The ideal candidate:
Has a proven History to secure excellent pupil results in Religious Studies GCSE exams Can inspire and lead high quality teaching, learning and assessment Is dynamic and an ambitious practitioner, who can build on the success of the subject and ensure good progress for all pupils Has experience of effective teaching and supporting pupils with a range of SEN, behavioural and academic needs.

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
Be willing to register with Prospero Teaching and complete all required vetting checks
Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide a minimum of two professional teaching related references
up to date safe guarding training (essential, training can be provided)
Up to date prevent awareness & FGM training (essential, training can be provided)
